Package Travel Information Sheet
Package Travel Information Sheet
Standard Information for Package Travel
(pursuant to Art. 250 § 2 EGBGB – adapted for motorcycle travellers)
The combination of travel services you have booked constitutes a package travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
You can therefore rely on all EU rights that apply to package travel. MotoGS WorldTours – Tour Operator bears full responsibility for the proper performance of the entire package travel arrangement.
MotoGS WorldTours has the legally required insolvency protection for the refund of your payments and – if passenger transport were included as part of the package – to ensure your repatriation in the event of insolvency.
Important: MotoGS WorldTours does not offer travel to the starting point or flights. Transport from your home location to the tour starting point is not part of the package travel arrangement.
What may be included is motorcycle provision (if you rent through us) or – for tours with external rental partners (e.g., in New Zealand) – arranging a motorcycle rental via a third-party provider.
Key rights under Directive (EU) 2015/2302
- You will receive all essential information about the package travel arrangement before the contract is concluded.
- At least one trader is always liable for the proper performance of all travel services included in the contract.
- You will receive an emergency telephone number or details of a contact point through which you can reach us.
- You may transfer the package travel arrangement to another person – within a reasonable period and, where applicable, subject to additional costs.
- The price of the package travel arrangement may be increased only if specific costs (e.g., fuel prices) increase and if this is expressly provided for in the contract – and in any case no later than 20 days before the start of the package travel arrangement. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the package price, you may withdraw from the contract free of charge. If the relevant costs decrease, you are entitled to a corresponding price reduction.
- You may withdraw free of charge and receive a full refund of all payments if one of the essential elements of the package travel arrangement (other than the price) is significantly changed or if MotoGS WorldTours cancels the package travel arrangement before it starts.
- You may withdraw before the start of the package travel arrangement without paying a termination fee if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination (e.g., serious security problems) which are likely to significantly affect the package travel arrangement.
- You may withdraw at any time before the start of the package travel arrangement by paying an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.
- If, after the start of the package travel arrangement, significant elements cannot be provided as agreed, you must be offered suitable alternative arrangements at no extra cost. If this is not possible or you reasonably refuse them, you may terminate the contract free of charge.
- You are entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation if travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
- MotoGS WorldTours will provide assistance if you are in difficulty.
- In the event of the organiser’s insolvency, your payments will be refunded; if repatriation were part of the package travel arrangement, it would also be covered.
